About
Me… :)
Growing up I have always been fascinated with big dramatic fantastical themes, the more whimsical the better, art came like second nature to me and boy did my interest show in my art, from 2d to 3d mediums I have always loved making it very fantasy-esque with nature themes. and it was no brainer that I would do some kind of art in my future, and doing Theatre growing up was an amazing outlet for me to act out these fantastical urges, However clay really caught me by surprise. originally planning on pursuing theatre, I found myself in art ed with no real passion and a sense of confusion what I wanted to pursue. When starting my first ceramics class something clicked and it grew into something more.
Working with a physical medium felt different then holding a pencil and way different than standing on a stage. I found myself drawing on my interest and love for the ocean and forest and finding away to implement those things on clay bodies. Of course I would never limit myself to just those things as I am a maximalist through and through! different forms and materials of clay are just so interesting to me and I funnily enough I find myself reminiscing on my childhood where I would pretend to be an earthbender, haha!
